You would work with our solution architects and creative directors to produce positive and effective user experiences by determining information structures and flows for digital courses, websites and web applications, gamified solutions, and much more!

  • Conceptualizing and defining the structural and navigational elements of large corporate intranets, web pages, e-learning courses, mobile applications, and other digital products
  • Conducting user research to inform the content and structure of information deliverables (and approach research depending on budgetary constraints)
  • Organizing information by translating user needs into workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, sitemaps, and storyboards
  • Ideating and brainstorming solutions by analyzing available content and developing taxonomies, labeling systems, categories, structures, data flows, and metadata schemes
  • Creating structures that promote finding and reusing content in multiple contexts
  • Creating robust search systems to support browsing through large datasets
  • Translating product requirements into wireframes and prototypes
  • Documenting the structure, components, and processes of digital solutions
  • Planning the migration of large sets of content
  • Facilitating information and data governance activities, including development efforts
  • Validating proposed solutions via reverse card sorting, usability testing, traffic analysis, user feedback, etc.
  • Sharing your knowledge and skills with your fellow teammates as a way to improve the team’s results

Required skills:

  • 2+ years of verifiable experience as a client-facing information architect (experience redesigning corporate intranets is a plus)
  • Experience working with software engineers to develop and implement information architecture specifications
  • Solid portfolio featuring examples of interaction work
  • Expertise in wireframing and prototyping tools (Axure, InVision, OmniGraffle, Balsamiq, Flinto, and others)

Bonus skills:

  • Flexible, creative, and inventive attitude toward finding design solutions
  • Obsession with crafting simple, intuitive, and delightful user experiences
  • Conceptual and visual problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in projects that involve large datasets and different types of users
  • Proficiency with design tools (mainly Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Proficiency with content management systems and corporate intranet tools (mainly SharePoint)
  • Experience with user research tools and techniques (user and stakeholder interviews, card sorting, persona creation, usability testing, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of content strategy methods, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) highly desirable

Type of employment:
This is a contract position that could turn into a long-term commitment for the right person.

Ideally Costa Rica, or countries with a similar time zone (UTC/GMT -6 hours). This is a remote position, meaning you will not be commuting to an office, and so you must have your own office setup.
