Our Client provides solutions to businesses enabling smarter procurement of magazines, journals and books. Our Client utilises technology to simplify processes and provide visibility across all information procurement activities.

This role is based in Barcelona, Spain

Our Client is searching for an extremely accurate and methodical individual to lead their User Experience. As UX Manager you will be responsible for the conception, enhancement and delivery of compelling online and offline projects ensuring User Experience is at the forefront of everything they do. You will develop compelling, functional design and navigation concepts for display via web, mobile, tablet and print. You will work closely with the Digital Creative Director and the Marketing Department taking full responsibility for the performance and quality of the User Experience.

We expect candidates to be expert in UX across web, mobile and tablet and to have at least 5 years working experience in an online or multi-agency environment and to have experience of collaborating closely with a team of designers and developers, both remotely and in-house. Only candidates who show an innate understanding of new media, technical feasibility and usability will be considered. You will be expected to convince, inspire and communicate our business goals through User Experience.

Your responsibilities as UX Manager

  • Translating Business Goals into ‘award-winning’ UX concepts
  • Internal presentation and project management
  • Delivering UX projects to brief, on time and on budget.
  • Inspiring others (designers, developers and senior Executives) by creating highly functional, user-focused, wireframes and evangelising UX best practices
  • Establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success in an agency or client UX environment
  • Five-plus years of UX experience
  • Strong conceptual skills across all media platforms
  • Be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and solve problems quickly
  • Be able to work effectively with senior leaders from other disciplines to garner support for UX participation in projects.
  • Ability to use lateral thinking to develop bold, brilliant conceptual work
  • Polished presentation skills, demonstrating a clear rationale of your response to the brief
  • Strong organisational and management skills
  • Ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and technologies
  • Excellent English language skills (other languages a distinct advantage)

Based at our offices in Barcelona, Spain, this is a busy and varied position. You will report directly to the VP, Marketing and focus on a range of UX projects across multiple platforms, including web, mobile and tablet. As we’re solely Business-to-Business, you’ll need strong commercial awareness, and will be working alongside the sales, copy, marketing and internal development teams to launch new products, services and products. You will need to share our enthusiasm for the company's values and goals - and possess the energy and determination to achieve them.
