At The Workshop, our ambition is to bring play to the largest number of people worldwide. So we craft simple, bite-size games that make people smile. For you, that means the chance to re-invent and re-imagine the world of online gaming. The freedom to think big. And the technology to make brainwaves happen. You’ll be trusted to make intelligent decisions, without getting bogged down by process. It’s a culture where forward thinkers like you can be fearless.
It’ll be your job to understand the goals of our games and help achieve them with designs that deliver a brilliant experience for players. You’ll work with creative thinkers from a host of different functions – including Production and Development as well as Art and Design. So as well as having the skills and confidence to get the best out of other artists, you’ll need to thrive on teamwork and be ready to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in to hands-on design work.
What you’ll do
Provide design, creative and art direction to teams that include interface designers, artists, animators and sound designers
Make sure we have the right people on the right projects, so that deadlines are met and quality is exceptional
Work with the Head of User Research, the Producer and the Director of Product Design on the research that goes in to every game
Give the development team all the design and art documents they need to do a great job
Keep a close eye on what competitors are doing, what players are saying and what game metrics reveal, using your insights to improve and innovate
What you’ll bring
A qualified or highly accomplished Game Designer and Artist
Experienced in designing and delivering videogames within the gambling industry
Someone who’s proved they can manage a team of artists and/or designers
Expert in art tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
Familiar with casino game design
Able to keep a cool head when the pressure’s on, and ready to shoulder responsibility
Analytical, organised and articulate
We’ll want to see proof of your skills and experience, so send us a link to your portfolio or attach work samples when you apply.
