Mobile & Apps UX Designer

The Digital Services Unit has the mission to provide Nestlé with the best in class Digital platforms and Capabilities to win in Digital Marketing and eCommerce, creating and running end-to-end Digital
Services and Solutions, touching billions of consumers everywhere in the world.

The strategic focus spans across key areas such as Digital presence on web and mobile, eCommerce and Omni-channel, Social media listening, engaging and publishing, Personalized Consumer Experiences and advanced cRM , Digital Consumer Analytics, Programmatic media, including upcoming areas such as IoT, connected products and services.

To grow our new Global Digital Hub in Barcelona, we are currently looking for a Mobile & Apps UX Designer.

Role & Responsibilities

The Mobile UX/UI designer is responsible for the definition of Collaborative Design, Build and Test methodology encompassing User center design, prototyping, usability and Agile development (Scrum). Mastering the full service design thinking model - with a strong mobile first mindset - the UX/UI designer will be analyzing and refining business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing analytics, systems documentation or procedures, and later collaborating with team members to frame out and translate these digital requirements into meaningful mobile user experiences and strategies ensuring quality products, adoptions and engagement. Drive the change of mindset about Usability and User Centered Design throughout the Nestlé IS/IT organization

Your responsibilities will be

  • Drive the UX and designs of the Mobile applications delivered via the Nestlé DSU Mobile Factory.
  • Work together with 3rd party creative agencies to ensure a meaningful mobile experience and with the technical team to ensure the feasibility and balanced business value - technical complexity on the creatives.
  • Responsible for the collection of Business requirements raised by stakeholders at Nestlé HQ and/or markets, and their analysis to produce and bring fresh ideas around user centered design, prototyping and ergonomics of software solution. Conduct user research and continuously evaluate user feedbacks.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept, sketching and prototyping to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards being always up to date with the latest iOS and Android guidelines
  • Produce design materials for internal mobile team activities, presentations and leaflets.
  • Work together with the mobile development solution architect in Identifying innovation opportunities and helping implement solutions including new features, integration with other systems or adoption of new SDKs
  • Help conceive, create and implement features and services related to our Global mobile template
  • Participate in building and updating Global mobile KPI dashboards
  • Support Project Manager / Solution Lead in identifying risks & issues, as well as improvement opportunities


  • Experience of analyzing and breaking down problems and information using structured frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience in producing high quality visual designs from concept, sketching and prototyping to final hand-off to engineering
  • Strong design and User centric skills
