There is an opening for a Senior Interaction Designer/Researcher to be based at Solera offices in Madrid (Alcobendas). You will participate in global research and design projects, carrying out research initiatives in multiple countries and defining the products interaction design.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • You will participate both in the research and interaction design phases, depending on the project.

Research

  • Work with the UX Research Lead to define the research methodologies and plans based on business goals.
  • Carry out the research initiatives (preparation, fieldwork, analysis, sharing) across multiple countries.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external research agencies when needed to execute the research plan.
  • Be able to select the most appropriate research techniques to fulfill the research goals, and combine them to maximize the insights gathered. You must know why, how and when to apply the different techniques.
  • Analyze and synthesize the insights gathered and model them into personas, journeys, scenarios and flows.
  • Communicate your findings in a convincing way, and become the advocate of the “voice of the customer” within Solera, following the projects through to make sure that the customers stay at the center of the design and the development processes at all time.

Interaction Design

  • Deliver solid interaction design solutions for desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Participate in (and drive when needed) sketching, ideation and brainstorming sessions.
  • Create realistic flows, prototypes and product concepts with tools like Sketch, Principle or Proto.io.
  • Liaise with other teams (developers, POs…) to deliver the products to the market as they are defined.
  • Contribute to the definition of Solera’s UX methodologies, liaising with the rest of the team.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • +5 years of experience as an interaction designer and researcher.
  • Comfortable working with multiple ongoing projects.
  • Ability to execute a research project, get valuable insights and provide innovative product recommendations.
  • Ability to define the interaction design of a project from scratch, with the support of the rest of the team.
  • Good communication skills to explain your process, recommendations and designs.
  • High level of English. Other languages highly valued, especially Spanish, German and French.
