Nokia is undertaking a large-scale service analytics and big data platform initiative called ‘Nokia AVA’ and serving thousands to tens of thousands of internal and external users. This platform will enable Nokia and its customers to build the next generation of services for telecommunications and beyond, including transport, connected health and broader IOT. You will be joining a very dynamic and growing team of talented individuals, setting up state-of-the-art solutions for outstanding customer experience.

Role description:

The User Experience Assurance Manager will ensure users of the Nokia AVA platform have a consistent, compelling and usable experience when interacting with the product. By providing an outstanding user experience you will directly influence the attractiveness of Nokia AVA as the “go to” platform for data analytics.

The role will be supported by a team of product owners and account managers, and will report to the head of Development and Operations.

Accountable for:

  • Collecting user experience feedback and communicating to development teams
  • Ensuring an extremely high user experience standard which maintains the Nokia reputation for delighting customers
  • Delivery of a user experience which generates value

Responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining a portfolio of user profiles
  • Collecting analytics on user experience
  • Maintaining and promoting guidelines to developers on user experience
  • Delivering mock-ups, wireframes and user journeys to development teams
  • Reviewing user experience proposals
  • Providing early user experience feedback to development teams
  • Running user experience tests and trials
  • Executing user field research
  • Understanding and promoting the entire picture of product use to development teams, product owners, and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant previous experience of:

  • Working in a large, geographically distributed, multi-cultural software organization
  • User experience design for several modern web based solutions serving thousands of users
  • Involvement in all stages of the software lifecycle
  • Large scale agile development
  • Creation, communication and refinement of user journeys in the form of mock ups and wireframes
  • Working with a highly technically oriented user based

Applicants should have:

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to inspire and influence without formal power or line management authority
  • A passion for delivery of the highest quality user experience
  • A user experience design portfolio of 5-10 years
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an agile software development environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the domain of data analytics
  • An understanding of the telecommunications domain
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Sound methodical skills with attention to detail and process requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree level in human factors, interaction design, usability or equivalent field
  • Hold a recognised qualification in agile development
