Lastminute.com group is looking for a UX/UI Designer for its team based in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities will include

  • Designing and testing for the product or products you will be assigned to; vImmersing yourself in the user journey through our products and those of our competitors;
  • Leading the experience design and ensuring the user is placed at the centre of the design process throughout;
  • Developing deep understanding of the needs of customers and users, working with our Product Management and Research teams to solidify this understanding and then presenting your findings and recommendations to your project team, stakeholders and the Product owner;
  • Combining your knowledge and expertise with the goals of our business to deliver a world-class user experience to our diverse, loyal user-base;
  • You’ll be comfortable taking a data-led approach to design. You will be a passionate advocate for the user, dedicated to the craft of design and excited about working in an agile, collaborative environment.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Simplicity: Good design is invisible. You will be an ambassador for simple design, ease of use and user centred design across lastminute.com Group
  • Background made up of Research, Personas, UX Flows, Experience Maps, Wireframes, Prototypes and User Testing.
  • Identify user problems and issues through hands-on user research and user testing.
  • Bring a user centred design approach to everything you do.
  • Collaboration: You’ll be working alongside developers and copywriters to create elegant user experiences; you should thrive on feedback, critique and iteration. You will generate wireframes, visual design concepts and high-fidelity prototypes individually and also collaboratively.
  • Visual/UI Design.
  • Ability to plan and lead user testing.
  • HTML/CSS: You’ll be given full ownership of your ideas, and so you’ll be required to both create beautiful mockups/wireframes/prototypes - and implement them.
  • Data: You are a successful Designer, but you like to measure your success with data and learn from it every day
  • E-Commerce: You understand the challenges and the opportunities that a large e-commerce website has to offer
  • Comfortable with changing priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Language : You can speak / understand English language fluently
  • You're excited to learn how to work with our templating and version control systems

Desirable

  • Experience in the Design Thinking methodology and/or Design Sprints
  • UX Research and data analytics experience
  • Experience of Lean UX
  • Knowledge of some JS framework
  • Knowledge of Italian language

Abilities/qualities

  • You’re equally comfortable discussing colour theory, user psychology, or the semantic implications of the DIV tag, you're a writer of excellent HTML & CSS
  • You’re excited about the endless potential of the web, and being able to build things that millions of people can use every day
