Do you posses the ability of combining hands-on UX design with strong leadership experience? If you are driven, ambitious, not afraid of challenges and thrive on finding new solutions, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the UX Director of Schibsted Spain, and together with the Product Director and the Head of Development of Fotocasa you will play a key role building the best Real Estate marketplace in Spain.

In this role, you will be...

  • Managing and mentoring the UX team of Fotocasa.
  • Engaging the entire UXRE team in championing and maintaining design principles and the user experience strategy.
  • Facilitating collaboration cross-functionally with product management and engineering to ensure successful product development and an overall understanding of our user’s needs.
  • Setting clear goals, managing resources accordingly, adhering to the product roadmap and mentoring team members towards growth and success.
  • Supervising the creation of user flows, wireframes, information architecture and interface mockups which synthesize user data and research.


If you have the following core competences:

  • Ability to work closely with engineering, product management and user research teams in order to design experiences that are technologically feasible and meet the business and user needs.
  • Be hands on in conducting different types of user research including UXlabs and field based research as well as expert methods such as heuristic evaluations and walkthroughs.
  • Solid experience with web analytics tools as well as other quantitative research tools (feedback polls, heatmaps).
  • Continuously analyze key customer journey routes and KPI’s to identify areas for daily optimisation.
  • Used to work agile, or lean and in a highly collaborative environment with interaction designers, UX researchers, visual designers, product owners and engineers.
  • Design, develop, execute and analyze AB and multivariate experiments to support design decisions and user experiences
  • Actively work to share analysis, experimentation, optimisation knowledge and expertise to promote a data and optimization driven culture.
  • Good understanding of qualitative user research methodologies and how to run lean research to ensure user insights inform all stages of design.
  • Strong understanding of usability and user experience principles.
  • Ability to work closely with data analytics team to synthesise both the quantitative data provided by them with the qualitative data from UX to form strong hypothesis for design, research and engineering.
  • Able to prioritize test ideas / hypotheses based on impact & effort .
  • Passion for digital products, technology, creativity and an openness to new design ideas.
  • Ability to use the UI Components guideline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

And you have...

  • Proven experience in a management or leadership role on a design or research team.
  • Minimum 5 years of visual design or research experience.
  • Applied Research or/and Design background: strong portfolio with examples of your approach to interactions and visuals across web application.
