We are looking for a passionate, talented and creative UX Designer to join our global design organisation.

You will be located in our R&D Centre in Madrid, Spain where you will work in multi-disciplinary team of engineers designers and analysts. As the UX designer, you will lead the design process from research, through to execution, ensuring that the insights you gather are taken through to the final design.

Through sustained iterations of research and design, you will be instrumental in ensuring a world class user experience of our products and services as technology, behaviours and design patterns change. As part of the our global design group you will report to the Group Design Director, located at our HQ in Geneva, Switzerland. Our growing design group is transforming the way the business approaches innovation. We believe the future will be shaped by groups of designers from different walks of life; combining industrial designers, with service designers, UX and visual designers, the design group is responsible for strategic design direction and customer experience.

It is important that you are fluent in Spanish and English, as you will be in the field, researching in Spain, and reporting back to colleagues in English. As we are a global company some travel is required. We are looking for a talented problem seeker; a person with an analytical brain, who uses a range of tools and methods to find the root cause of user problems.

You are a change maker; a person with the ability to synthesise design process and research, and use it to their advantage when managing business objectives and stakeholders, ensuring that UX direction is carried through into build.

You will :

  • Determine research objectives and employ a wide range of research methods, including but not limited to, strategic design research and contextual inquiry, participatory design workshops, formative and summative usability studies, analytics and UX metrics.
  • Synthesise insights and identify opportunities, making sense of everything that was said and observed in the research phase, then, develop compelling ways to communicate these insights and opportunities to the agile team, stakeholders and non-designers.
  • Design, conduct, analyse, and present research in a fast-paced software development environment, from early strategic direction through to post-release validation.
  • Iteratively prototype and test solutions using low and high fidelity tools as required.
  • Work with stakeholders, interaction designers and developers to bring designs to life, balancing user needs, business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Work with modern design and project management methodologies (e.g. Human-centered design, agile, lean UX)
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital trends and industry best practices, and use this knowledge to evolve products and features when and where it is appropriate. What we mean when we say UX Design UX design is the process of researching user needs, defining pain points and opportunities, and designing meaningful solutions based on evidence. UX is not just UI. Research is mandatory.

Your profile Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience of working with strategic design/innovation, UX/concept design, service design, user centric design - with a focus on research.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders and using research & insights to inform design decisions.
  • Experience conducting, but not limited to, Interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and synthesising insights in a way that is easy for people of all levels and backgrounds to understand.
  • Experience of working in a similar domain, for, a large multi-national, or in a start-up environment.
  • University degree, preferably BA or BS degree.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken. Additional qualifications
  • Experience conducting expert reviews, PURE Method, Framework testing
  • Experience with coding.
  • Experience with designing for accessibility.
  • Experience in using prototype tools like in Just in mind, Sketch, Noodl, Axure, InVision, or others. Personal Characteristics
