We are looking for a UX Product Manager to

  • Create innovative, end-to-end user experiences for existing and new product offerings
  • Collaborate with product managers in defining the interaction design of products and features.

Responsibilities

  • Create holistic solutions that address business, brand and user requirements
  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centered process
  • Work with web developers and engineers to deliver the final product

Experience/Skills:

  • Feels comfortable working with lots of interaction design and apps that include many moving parts.
  • Understands how communities work. Cares about user motivations. Thrives in the social space.
  • Cares passionately about online learning. Understands the aspirational component at the core of self-improvement.
  • Understands the need to prioritize and make tradeoffs when designing and building a real site. Can draw on the previous points without ever being dogmatic.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as a key member of a User Experience team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or software applications
  • 3+ years total industry experience (corporate, software, web, agency experience)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (including user research, product management and engineering.
  • Can take a product idea (wireframe, whiteboard drawing, doodle on the back of a napkin, ...) and turn it into a full web experience (from a design point of view) without the help of an illustrator
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast- paced environment
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to grasp multiple product requirements
  • Ability to create information architecture diagrams, wire frames, prototypes, and screen flows
  • Must have solid grasp of web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies (html, css, javascript).

Education:

A degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
